We are currently seeking compassionate, skilled, and reliable Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) in the Ottawa area to join our team for in-home nursing care, post-surgical support, and ongoing health management.
Position Summary
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care in clients' homes in accordance with CNO standards of practice.
You will work independently and collaboratively to support client well-being and deliver individualized, high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct in-home nursing care, including clinical assessments, treatments, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments safely within scope of practice.
- Document client care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans.
- Communicate and report changes in client condition effectively.
- Provide health education to clients and their families.
- Uphold infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Active General Class registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid CPR / BLS certification.
- Personal Liability Insurance (NPAO/RNAO/WeRPN or equivalent).
- At least 2 professional references.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience in home care, community care, or long-term care is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
