Duties
- Pick and sort mushrooms according to size, quality, and handling instructions, avoiding damage to crops.
- Use hand tools and farm machinery safely for harvesting and routine work; report equipment concerns promptly.
- Assist with irrigation checks, basic maintenance, and keeping growing and work areas orderly.
- Follow instructions for moving materials and handling loads, using safe practices around heavy equipment.
Requirements
Required: Practical ability to perform careful,
repetitive harvesting, handle physical work including heavy lifting, use hand tools, and apply basic math to counts or measurements. Awareness of protected work practices around machinery and irrigation supports daily duties. Preferred: Horticulture or mushroom-growing knowledge, mechanical knowledge, and experience with farm machinery, maintenance, power tools, or heavy equipment operation are useful strengths.
