Boat Warehouse Kingston is looking for a motivated, competitive and high-performance sales professional to join our team.

We welcome candidates at different stages of their sales careers. If you have a proven sales record, we want to hear about it. If you're newer to professional sales but have the personality, communication skills, boating experience and drive to become a top performer, we are willing to train you.

This is not a passive retail sales position.

We're looking for someone who wants to build a customer base, create opportunities, follow leads, close deals and grow their income based on performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll take ownership of the sales process from first contact through delivery and beyond, including:

- Respond to incoming customer inquiries and company-supported leads
- Prospect and generate your own current sales opportunities
- Qualify customers and understand their boating needs
- Professionally present boats, features, options and benefits
- Coordinate and participate in product demonstrations when required
- Consistently follow up with prospects by phone, email, text and other approved channels
- Maintain accurate and organized customer and sales pipeline records
- Negotiate and close sales
- Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business
- Maintain strong knowledge of current inventory, products, promotions and the marine industry
- Work toward established individual sales and performance targets

COMPANY-SUPPORTED LEADS

We believe strong sales people should be given the tools and opportunities to grow.

Sales professionals are expected to actively generate their own business; however, proven performance will be supported with company-generated leads and sales opportunities.

Lead support will consider sales performance, responsiveness, follow-up, customer service, conversion and demonstrated ability to properly manage opportunities.

The better you perform, the more opportunity there is to grow.

SOCIAL MEDIA & SELF-PROMOTION

Digital promotion is an important part of this position.





Our sales professional will be expected to create engaging sales content featuring boats, inventory, new arrivals, product features, demonstrations, deliveries and other sales opportunities.

You don't need to be a professional content creator, but you do need to be comfortable appearing in and creating photos and videos, developing content ideas and using social media as a sales tool.

All content representing The Boat Warehouse must be submitted for company approval and published through The Boat Warehouse's official company channels first.

Once approved and published by the company, sales professionals are encouraged to share that content through their own personal and professional channels to expand its reach, develop their following and generate sales.

Unapproved content may not be independently published on behalf of, or as a representation of, The Boat Warehouse.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Confidence communicating with customers in person, by phone and digitally
- Self-motivation, organization and strong follow-through
- A performance-driven attitude and willingness to be accountable for results
- Basic practical boating knowledge and experience
- A valid driver's licence and ability to safely tow a boat and trailer
- Ability to confidently back up a boat trailer and launch a boat
- Comfortable learning and using CRM, digital sales and communication tools
- Comfortable creating and participating in social media content
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Availability to work the schedule required by a seasonal marine sales business, including peak-period weekends as required

New to Professional Sales?

We're open to that too. If you understand boats, communicate exceptionally well, are comfortable approaching and following up with customers, aren't afraid of the phone or camera, and have the drive to learn how to sell, we can teach you our products and sales process.

We're hiring for capability and potential as well as experience.

COMPENSATION & EARNING POTENTIAL

Pay and commission structure are negotiable based on experience and proven sales performance.

Realistic annual earnings range from approximately $50,000-$120,000+, with uncapped earning potential for high performers.

Sales take time to build, particularly for someone new to the industry. Your earning potential growswith your performance, customer base and sales volume.

Full compensation structure and performance expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
