Durham Medical Centre is seeking a Full-Time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our growing diagnostic imaging team in Whitby.

We provide a broad range of ultrasound services across Durham Region, with a strong focus on vascular imaging and collaboration with vascular surgeons, family physicians, and specialists.

The successful candidate must be confident performing vascular, general, and obstetrical ultrasound, including late OB.

Qualifications

- Registered and in good standing with CMRITO as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- Successful completion of the Sonography Canada Core Sonographic Examination and Vascular Sonographic Examination
- Minimum 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience required
- CRVS, RVT, or equivalent recognized vascular credential preferred
- Demonstrated competency performing vascular ultrasound examinations, including:
- Carotid studies
- Peripheral arterial studies
- Peripheral venous studies
- Abdominal vascular studies
- General ultrasound experience required
- Obstetrical ultrasound experience required, including late OB
- MSK ultrasound experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, Doppler principles, and vascular protocols
- Ability to recognize and appropriately communicate significant or urgent findings
- Excellent patient care, communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently




- Ability to collaborate with our senior vascular technologist, radiologists, and vascular surgeon as we continue to expand our vascular services

- Experienced with late OB
- Able to independently manage a diverse patient schedule
