While Thunder Bay sleeps, you're already out there. It's 4 a.m., the city's quiet, the snow's still coming down, and you're in the heated cab of a brand new Kubota tractor, knocking out driveways one after another. All day long, you're the one people are watching for through the front window: the nurse who has to make her shift, the dad who promised he'd get the kids to school, the guy who swore he was buying a snowblower this year (he wasn't). You pull up, the driveway's clear, and you've just saved someone's day. No cape required. Just a Kubota tractor with a snow blower.

Marco's is one of the fastest-growing residential exterior service companies in Thunder Bay, serving over 1,000 clients a year in lawn, landscaping and snow. We're hiring Snow Tractor Operators to run our residential driveway routes this winter. The machines are simple to operate, we train you on everything, and you'll be part of an eager team that works together and backs each other up when the weather gets serious.

Responsibilities

- Explicit residential driveways using a Kubota tractor with a snow blower attachment
- Follow your assigned route using our dispatch software, which tells you where to go next
- Stay on the tractor. No shovelling, no walkways, no getting out in a blizzard
- Do a quick check of your machine before and after each shift and report any issues
- Work safely around homes, vehicles, and traffic in early-morning conditions




- Communicate with your team so every route gets finished

What the Schedule Really Looks Like

- Seasonal contract: November 1 to April 30
- Storms are weather dependent. You'll usually get notice the night before
- Start times are typically between 4 and 7 a.m.
- A regular storm shift runs 8–12 hours, historically about once a week
- A heavy storm can run up to 14 hours
- Some weeks are quiet. Some weeks we go out four days in a row

If you want a predictable 9-to-5, this isn't it. If you like big days, earning big hours when it counts, and having downtime in between, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

- Valid G2 licence or higher
- Available on call for the full season, November 1 to April 30
- Reliable and reachable every time we call
- Comfortable working under time pressure and through long days
- Willing to learn. No tractor experience needed, we'll train you
