POSITION: FACILITY CLEANER

WAGE: $20.00 - $24.00

SHIFT: Monday to Friday, 7: 00a.m - 3: 30p.m

As our Facility Cleaner, you will work closely with the Operations Lead and Maintenance Lead Hand, experience challenges and rewards and have an opportunity to shape and influence our environment.

Our Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized workplace through the consistent delivery of housekeeping and sanitation services. Working in accordance with company policies and safety standards, this position supports the overall appearance, functionality, and maintenance of the facility through routine cleaning, waste disposal, and housekeeping activities. This role contributes to a professional environment for employees, customers, and visitors while supporting workplace safety and operational efficiency.

Your Objectives:

- Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain cleanliness of office spaces, front lobby area, washrooms, lunchrooms, boardroom and other common areas outside of the production floor.




- Empty garbage and recycling containers and replace liners as required in all office spaces and washrooms.
- Clean and sanitize all lunchrooms, kitchens, washrooms, locker areas, and office spaces.
- Dust and wipe down common use surfaces, furniture shelving, and fixtures.
- Clean interior windows, doors, and glass surfaces as assigned.
- Maintain clean and unobstructed aisles, exits, and emergency access points.
- Assist with general organization of storage areas, supply rooms, and common use spaces.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies and notify the Purchaser when replenishment is required.
- Support facility wide cleaning projects during scheduled shutdowns or maintenance periods.
- Maintain exterior areas (landscape, walkways, parking lots).
- Assist in the set-up of workplace events and visitor meetings.
- Assist with the implementation of 5S and organizational initiatives.
- Treat all J/E information and customer information in a confidential manner.
- Know and demonstrate safe working procedures in the shop environment.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned (by the manager/supervisor).

Success Requires:

- Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- G Class Driver’s Licence.
- Forklift and Crane Certification are an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing workplace is an asset.




- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods.
- Possess good time management skills and communication skills.
- Available to work overtime as business demands require.
- Possess a wide range of residential and commercial repair and maintenance skills is an asset.
- Energetic, self-motivating, ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests.
