Staff Plus is hiring an experienced CNC Router Operator to join our manufacturing client in Aurora. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor AXYZ CNC routing equipment to cut a variety of materials, including acrylic, aluminum composites, PVC, wood, and other substrates. You will be responsible for maintaining quality standards, ensuring machine efficiency, and meeting production requirements.

Location: Aurora, Ontario
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour
Shift: 4:00pm – 12:00am
Training Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Duties

- Set up and operate AXYZ CNC routers and related finishing equipment.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, production files, work orders, and specifications.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and material hold-down systems, and make minor program adjustments as required.
- Perform test cuts and inspect finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and report defects or equipment concerns.




- Perform routine preventative maintenance and replace cutting tools and consumables as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and keep the work area clean, organized, and secure.
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of CNC operating experience; AXYZ router experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, signage, printing, woodworking, or metal fabrication is an asset.
- Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC tooling, machine setup, and basic troubleshooting.
- Basic computer skills; CAD/CAM experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
