Hourly rate: $20.50/hr

40 hr week Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. NO WEEKENDS. Dream PSW job. Very rewarding position working with special needs adults in a Day Program setting.

Minimum Qualifications Must demonstrate patience, understanding and a genuine desire for working with people with developmental and physical disabilities and their families. Must be a team player. Able to Work independently and with minimal supervision. Good communications skills both verbal and written. Must have a valuable understanding of either Microsoft Word or comparable and confident in the use of computers. Certificate in a reputable program as a Personal Support Worker, Development Support Worker, Valid First Aid and or CPR certificate Valid Ontario Drivers license.

Responsibilities PSW/Program Assistant will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for the following duties and tasks: Responsible for the care to include feeding, toileting High to Semi High needs clients. Life skills training and program development. In Cooperation with the Executive Director, Work in cooperation and assist the Executive Director in the planning and implementation of life skills and recreational programs for all clients. Administer first aid and personal care for all clients when required.



Assist the Community with program and service enquirers. Promotion of Tania’s Place in cooperation with the Executive Director. Supervision of clients, especially those high needs clients assigned to you. Follow, ensure and implement Tania’s Place Privacy Policy Keep Executive Director updated on the progress of our High Needs clients and any requests or concerns parents may have. Other assigned duties when required and or requested by the Executive Director.
