Butter Packaging Operator (Part Time)

Department: Production
Reports to: Production Supervisor

Schedule: Days/Afternoons and eventually nights
Status: Part-Time

The pay for the role is starting at $18.40/hr.

Job Scope:

Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the scope of this position involves covering all aspects of the butter department operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate all aspects of the butter filling and packaging automated equipment
- Set up and complete automated CIP washes, as well as manual cleaning of equipment and environmental cleaning
- Complete and document of GMPs, MSS and HACCP related items
- Record accurate and detailed production and CIP reports, incl WMS & DAX
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in SOPs & other training materials provided and accurate record keeping
- Attend prescribed courses and training as required
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:

- Minimum high school diploma and/or relevant food processing experience
- Knowledge of Positive Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), including excellent sanitary habits and possess knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
- Good communication skills, including written and verbal
- Ability to be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Physically capable of performing the demands of the job and ability to multi-task
- Computer skills would be an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability

Working Environment:

Regular exposure to noise, odour,



chemical hazards, hazardous machines and frequent interruptions. Occasional exposure to dust and extreme temperatures.

Physical Demands:

Standing and walking for extended length of time and frequent lifting of materials to a maximum weight of 35 kg.
