About the Role

As an Investment Banking Analyst, you’ll be at the center of live M&A; mandates from your first week. You’ll build the analysis and materials that move deals forward, work alongside senior leadership, and see transactions through to closing. You’ll get real exposure early, and it comes with high standards. Your path to Senior Analyst and Associate is clear for those who perform.

Western Canada’s mid-market is in an active period. Business owners are planning succession, private capital is looking for quality companies, and sectors from energy services to technology are consolidating. You’ll be learning the business at a time when there’s plenty of deal flow to learn from.

What You’ll Do

Transaction Execution

- Build financial models and valuation analysis (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions) to support live mandates.
- Prepare CIMs, teasers, pitch materials, and management presentations.
- Set up and maintain virtual data rooms and help coordinate due diligence.

Research & Analysis

- Research industries, markets,



and companies to support valuations and deal strategy.
- Identify and profile potential buyers, investors, and acquisition targets.
- Use modern research tools, including AI-assisted ones, to work faster while keeping the output accurate.

Client & Deal Support

- Help coordinate communication between the deal team, clients, and outside advisors.
- Manage the distribution and tracking of documents, agreements, and follow-ups.
- Keep deliverables accurate and on schedule across several workstreams.

What We’re Looking For

- A business, commerce, finance, or economics degree.
- Internship or work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or accounting is an asset, as are CFA or CPA studies.
- Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic modelling) and polished PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present your work clearly.
- Close attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under tight timelines.
- A coachable, hungry, entrepreneurial mindset. You learn fast, ask good questions, and take on new responsibilities as they come.
- A team-first approach, built through team sports, competitive activities, group leadership, or a demanding work environment.
