About Us

We are a growing cafe business operating three locations in Toronto. We are looking for a motivated, creative, and entrepreneurial marketing student or emerging marketing professional who wants to make a real impact on a small business.

This is an opportunity to go beyond traditional marketing. You will work directly with the owner to grow our business by developing catering opportunities, building relationships with schools and local organizations, organizing events, and creating new revenue streams.

What You Will Do

1. Grow Our Catering Business

- Identify and reach out to local businesses, offices, corporate teams, and organizations that need catering services.
- Develop partnerships with event planners, community groups, and other potential catering customers.
- Promote our catering menu and packages through email outreach, phone calls, social media, and in-person visits.
- Follow up with prospective customers, prepare basic proposals, and help convert leads into catering orders.
- Track inquiries, bookings, and sales to understand which activities generate the best results.

2. Develop School Lunch and Institutional Partnerships

- Research schools, daycare's, educational institutions, and organizations that may need lunch or snack programs.
- Contact school administrators, parent groups, and decision-makers to introduce our food offerings.
- Help develop suitable menu options, pricing packages, and recurring supply arrangements.
- Build relationships that can lead to regular weekly or monthly orders.

3. Plan and Support Events

- Help organize and host promotional events, community gatherings, pop-ups, and cafe events.
- Identify local festivals, markets, school events, and corporate gatherings where our cafes can participate.




- Represent our business professionally at events and build relationships with potential customers.

4. Help Grow the Business

- Work directly with the owner to identify new business opportunities and test marketing ideas.
- Maintain a straightforward pipeline of prospective customers, outreach activities, follow-ups, and confirmed orders.
- Measure results such as new leads, catering bookings, recurring school orders, and revenue generated.
- Recommend practical ways to improve our marketing, customer acquisition, and sales.

Who We Are Looking For

- A current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, Entrepreneurship, Communications, or a related field.
- Someone who is passionate about marketing, business growth, and customer engagement.
- A confident communicator who enjoys networking, meeting people, and building relationships.
- A self-starter who can take an idea, develop a plan, and follow through on execution.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities.
- Willingness to work across our three Toronto cafe locations and attend occasional events outside regular business hours.
- A positive, practical, and entrepreneurial mindset.

You do not need years of experience. We value initiative, creativity, communication skills, and a genuine interest in growing a business. Students with relevant projects, volunteer experience, campus event experience, or small-business marketing experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

- Hourly pay of $18.00–$20.00, depending on relevant skills and experience.
- Additional performance-based bonus tied to agreed business development goals.
- Approximately 15–20 hours per week, with scheduling coordinated around academic commitments.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with the business owner.
- Hands-on experience in catering sales, marketing, event management, and business development.
- An opportunity to make a measurable contribution to a growing local business.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week
