We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable

Manager, Finance

to join our leadership team. This key position plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial operations are managed optimally, throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Support day-to-day accounting operations – ensuring financial activities are completed accurately, consistently, and timely.
- Prepare and analyze financial reporting – preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and providing analysis of them.
- Review and evaluate accounting practices, and internal controls – identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Perform financial analysis and prepare journal entries – completing month-end and year-end processes for group of companies.
- Support the planning and coordination of the annual audit process – preparing required documentation and working with audit team.
- Prepare account reconciliations, tax analyses, schedules, and other financial analysis – as required to support Finance activities and corporate reporting requirements.
- Participate in and support the annual budget and forecasting processes – developing and communicating budgeting tools, assumptions, timelines and requirements. Identifying continuous improvement opportunities.




- Serve as a financial resource to colleagues and business areas – providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and supporting related financial processes, systems, reporting, and analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance colleagues and departments across the organization – resolving financial matters, improving processes, supporting corporate initiatives, and contributing to the achievement of organizational objectives.
- Develop increasing expertise and accountability across the Finance function – taking on progressively broader and more complex assignments in support of career development and career progression.
- Participate in special projects, business planning, and strategic initiatives – providing financial insight and recommendations to support effective decision-making.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related discipline
- CPA designation
- 5-10 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role
- 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in a unionized environment
- Advanced financial software skills
- Advanced MS Office skills
- Advanced knowledge of accounting procedures, guidelines, and practices, including consolidation accounting
- Intermediate knowledge of Canadian tax/PILS
- Intermediate knowledge of cash management, including debt service, dividend policy, etc.
