Oruma Multicuisine Bistro is looking for an experienced and passionate South Indian Cuisine Chef to join our kitchen team!

We are seeking a skilled chef with strong knowledge of authentic South Indian cooking, traditional recipes, spices, and food preparation techniques. The ideal candidate should be able to maintain authentic flavours, consistent quality, and excellent food presentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes, including traditional meals and regional specialties.
- Have strong experience preparing dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, curries, biryani, and other South Indian dishes.
- Prepare traditional batters, spice blends, masalas, and gravies from scratch.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
- Manage daily kitchen preparation and food production.
- Monitor food inventory and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain proper food storage, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Work efficiently during busy restaurant hours.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

- Previous professional experience in South Indian cuisine is required.




- Strong knowledge of authentic South Indian recipes and cooking methods.
- Ability to prepare traditional South Indian dishes independently.
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant workplace.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
- Food Handler Certification is an asset.
