Installer/Driver (Furniture)

We are looking for an Installer/Driver.

Must have the qualifications to drive. Require a (G) licence and 3 years of experience driving commercial vehicles.

Experience installing office furniture or other related experience is preferred.

Reporting to the Project Coordinator and General Manager, the primary duties revolve around the installation of various office interior products and furniture at our customers offices. Depending on experience, the individual may have the opportunity to lead installations of large projects. Most importantly, they will ensure customer satisfaction throughout the execution of the installation process.

The Position:

Performs various furniture service duties including delivery, assembly, installation, repair and service of warranty and non-warranty office furniture and office systems.

- Depending on experience, lead a team of installers to complete projects
- Provide a high level of customer service to ensure an excellent customer experience




- Addresses and resolves customers’ problems as appropriate and reports to supervisor or project coordinator
- Review and understand floor plans and install drawings in order to install based on the specifications

Wage is based on experience and is reviewed periodically to align with performance and scope of responsibilities. Also eligible for the profit-sharing program after two years.

Requirements and Experience:

- G License in good standing. Prior commercial driving experience is required
- Own tool set (or willing to purchase a set upon hiring) and knowledgeable in the operation of warehouse equipment and lightweight tools (i.e., use of a pallet jack, dolly to move furniture; and lightweight power tools to install and/or repair furniture)
- Hard-toed safety toes
- Certified in Haworth, Global, or any experience in office furniture installations

The Benefits:

Your normal work week is Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Weekend work for overtime is typically optional.

Vacation is dependent on experience. At a minimum, you will be entitled to a 4% rate on all wages earned for annual vacation which equates to 10 business days.

The employee must frequently lift, move, and/or carry between 70 to 100 pounds. Employee will regularly drive a delivery truck and must be able to enter and exit the truck throughout the day. Employee will regularly operate warehouse equipment that requires manual dexterity and use of lightweight power tools requiring coordinated movements. Activities include using a pallet jack to move furniture; and lightweight power and manual tools to assemble, install or repair furniture.
