As our company grows, we are seeking a Quality Control Inspector with specific experience in the polishing and tooling industry to uphold our legacy of excellence.

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector who understands the nuances of the mold polishing industry. This role is critical to maintaining our high-quality standards and ensuring every mold surface meets customer specifications, whether it’s a high-gloss mirror finish or a technical texture requirement.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of polished molds using microscopes, gauges, and surface comparators.
- Evaluate surface finishes per SPI standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Inspect for polish uniformity, tool marks, contamination, pitting, and any surface defects.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately using internal QC forms and reports.
- Collaborate with polishers and shop supervisors to communicate nonconformance and suggest corrections.
- Maintain calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.
- Assist in the development of inspection procedures and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold company standards for precision, consistency, and traceability.

Required Qualifications





- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control or inspection within the mold polishing or mold-making industry.
- Strong working knowledge of polishing techniques and surface standards (especially SPI A1–D3).
- Proficient with precision inspection tools: microscopes, profilometers, calipers, micrometers, and surface gauges.
- High attention to detail and the ability to differentiate fine variations in surface finish.
- Solid understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances (GD&T; a plus).
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work with polishers and floor managers.
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple inspections under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a polishing-focused environment or injection mold shop.
- Knowledge of ISO or similar quality systems.
- Familiarity with customer audits and product traceability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.55-$25.59 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
