Job Summary

Our Cafe hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm . Shifts range from 8am to 330pm.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe. This position involves food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. A passion for the food industry and a commitment to food safety are essential.

Duties

- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas to comply with health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.




- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor towards patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Experience with food preparation and serving techniques is advantageous.
