We are looking for a reliable, observant, and hands-on Building Caretaker & Evening Security Attendant to help maintain a clean, secure, and welcoming environment for residents.

This position combines evening security duties on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with cleaning, waste management, and routine building inspections during additional scheduled hours.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, follows through on assigned tasks, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Evening Security

* Maintain a visible and professional presence throughout the building.

* Conduct regular rounds of entrances, hallways, and common areas.

* Monitor building access and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.

* Respond calmly and professionally to noise complaints and concerns about building rules.

* Report incidents, safety hazards, and emergencies promptly to management.

* Contact emergency services when necessary and follow established procedures.

2. Cleaning and Building Maintenance

* Clean hallways, elevators, entrances, and other common areas according to the established cleaning schedule.

* Take garbage and recycling bins out for collection and return them afterward.

* Keep garbage and recycling areas clean, organized, and free of excess waste.

* Check doors, locks, lighting, and common areas during routine rounds.

* Identify spills, damage, maintenance issues,



and potential safety hazards, and report them promptly.

* Complete assigned tasks and inform management of any outstanding issues.

3. General Building Care

* Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents.

* Follow the established work schedule and complete assigned duties on time.

* Communicate respectfully with residents, contractors, and management.

* Take initiative when identifying issues that require attention.

Qualifications and Requirements

* Reliable, punctual, and responsible.

* Able to work independently and follow instructions.

* Observant, proactive, and professional.

* Comfortable performing physical cleaning duties and moving garbage and recycling bins.

* Able to conduct regular building rounds and remain attentive during evening shifts.

* Previous experience in building caretaking, cleaning, residential security, or a similar role is an asset.

* A valid Québec security guard licence is an asset but is not mandatory to apply. However, any security duties assigned must comply with applicable Québec legal requirements.

Work Schedule

* Security shifts: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings/nights.

* Building care and cleaning: Additional scheduled hours based on the building’s needs.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
