We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our dynamic team. We are located in the vibrant neighborhood of Easthill in Vernon BC. In this role, you will provide expert mental health support and counselling services to diverse patient populations, with a special focus on children and adolescents. Your expertise will help foster emotional well-being, resilience, and positive health outcomes. This contracted position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while working within a collaborative and supportive environment. Our goal is to become the hub for Mental Health in the North Okanagan.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients’ mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized counselling plans tailored to individual patient goals and circumstances
- Provide therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to support clients.
- Attend team-oriented connections with other RCCs within the office on a bi-monthly basis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of counselling sessions, treatment plans,
and patient records in compliance with privacy regulations using Clinic's JaneApp.
- Participate in clinic-wide learning and collaborative activities to foster development.
Qualifications
- Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) credential, Master's degree and practitioner insurance.
- Proven experience working with varied group of clients.
- Experience with patient care strategies that incorporate special education needs when applicable
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and documentation for clinical purposes
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Confidence in work and ability to guide clients to a more healthy life.
