Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Superintendent/Carpenter to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong background in carpentry, construction management, and site supervision. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers an opportunity to lead diverse construction teams and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers to maintain workflow efficiency
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6 for scheduling, documentation, and communication
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs and resource allocation effectively
- Perform site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions
- Oversee the installation of structural elements and ensure compliance with design specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, safety reports, and project updates
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among all personnel

Qualifications





- Proven experience in construction management with a robust background in carpentry and site supervision
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or similar tools
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, and budgeting processes
- Excellent understanding of quality control procedures and safety regulations on construction sites
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and team members
- Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or related fields are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $73,100.00-$80,000.00 per year

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- Construction management: 2 years (preferred)
- Carpentry: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
