Conveyor Installation Lead Millwright and Millwright Crew

Open Positions: 3 lead Millwrights and 20 skilled Millwrights

We are seeking 3 experienced Conveyor Installation Leads and Millwrights for an industrial installation project at a distribution and fulfillment centre in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia.

Qualified candidates must have proven, hands-on experience installing industrial conveyor systems, mezzanines, and workstations, along with demonstrated experience leading installation crews.

This is a working lead position. Candidates must be comfortable supervising a crew while actively participating in equipment assembly, installation, alignment, and mechanical work.

SIGNIFICANT: Previous conveyor installation experience in distribution centres, fulfillment centres, or similar industrial facilities is required. General mechanical or construction experience alone is not sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate crews performing industrial conveyor, mezzanine, and workstation installations.
- Perform hands-on mechanical assembly and installation of conveyor systems.
- Interpret mechanical drawings, installation layouts, and equipment specifications.
- Oversee conveyor positioning, leveling, alignment, and mechanical connections.
- Direct crew members and assign daily installation tasks to maintain productivity.
- Assist with installation of structural mezzanines, platforms, and industrial workstations.




- Identify and resolve mechanical installation challenges in the field.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Ensure all work complies with site safety requirements and installation standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Required Qualifications

- Proven hands-on industrial conveyor installation experience — REQUIRED.
- Previous experience leading mechanical installation or conveyor assembly crews.
- Experience installing mezzanines and industrial workstations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with industrial installation tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and installation plans.
- Experience working in distribution centres, warehouses, fulfillment centres, or industrial facilities.
- Ability to work independently and provide direction to crew members.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, including overtime as required.
- Ability to pass a client-required background check.

Required Safety Certifications

Applicants must have current documentation for the following:

- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Working at Heights
- Forklift Certification
- Scissor Lift Certification

Candidates must also complete required online site safety orientations before starting.

Required Tools & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All workers must arrive on-site with their own installation hand tools and required PPE, including:

- High-visibility safety vest
- Cut-resistant gloves
- Fall arrest harness
- Hearing protection
- Type 2 hard hat with chin strap
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots, 6–8 inches (no slip-on boots)
- CSA-approved safety glasses

Schedule

Schedule: Monday–Saturday, starting at 7:00 AM. Daily end times will depend on project requirements.

Project Duration: Approximately 4 weeks, with potential extension through December 2026.
