- Responsible to maintain all grounds surrounding all facilities under the management of Crowsnest Pass Senior Housing, including snow removal and mowing spread sand, and keep sidewalks and roads free of debris on and ongoing basis including weekends.
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of all equipment, plumbing fixtures, minor repairs to building, interior and exterior painting, heating equipment, ensuring that maintenance needs of a major nature are reported to the Operations Manager and work performed by contract workers is adequate.
- Responsible for keeping accurate maintenance records including the Maintenance Log Book; Monthly Generator checks. Daily Boiler checks
- Responsible for security, including organizing and conducting regular Fire and Emergency Drill at the facilities.
- Responsible for keeping maintenance office and carts, boiler room, shops and garages clean and organized.
- Qualifications:
- Must be in valuable health, a medical may be required.
- Minimum of Grade 10
- Preference given to applicant with Class 5 Power Engineering
- A minimum three years general maintenance experience.
- Ability to positively relate to residents and staff.
- Ability to work independently with some arms-length supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Trades certification would be and asset (i.e., carpentry, plumbing etc.)
