Overview

The Automotive Program Course Developer creates clear, engaging learning materials that support effective automotive program instruction. This role combines a course outline, PowerPoint presentation, Word manual, raw video footage if applicable, and collaboration with instructors to deliver technical updating classes for Automotive technicians.

Note - we develop 6 courses per year and contracts are per each individual course, based on $12k per course. We can discuss the number of courses you want to build.

Duties

- Develop a course outline for each topic, based on a provided learning plan.
- Research and develop content based on service information, your experience and the lesson plan.
- Create a professional PowerPoint presentation consisting of 150 slides incorporating diagnostic descriptions and processes, diagrams, photos and up to 5 short videos.
- Work within the project timelines, gather input from instructors, and communicate progress and updates to management.
- Compile a 50 page Word document aligned with the PowerPoint presentation to be converted into the course manual.
- Review course materials for clarity, accuracy, and consistency,



incorporating feedback to improve the learning experience.
- Instruct a live "train the trainer" virtual class for the instructors and answering any questions.

Requirements

Required: Extensive automotive knowledge and strong diagnostic skills. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment such as lab scopes and scan tools.

Robust writing and communication skills, content development capability, and practical project management skills are essential for creating accurate materials, coordinating reviews, and meeting course milestones.

Preferred: Red Seal Certification. Experience with diverse makes and models of domestic and import vehicles, Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, training and development, teaching, and presentation skills are advantageous. Your impact: Well-designed courses help instructors deliver consistent learning and enable students to build job-relevant automotive knowledge and skills.

Pay: $72,000.00 per year
