Job Summary

The French Tutor helps learners build confidence and practical ability in French through transparent instruction, guided practice, and constructive feedback. Lessons support learners’ speaking, reading, and writing goals, with activities adapted to their progress and learning needs.

Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging French tutoring sessions, explaining language concepts and modeling accurate usage.
- Guide learners through conversation, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar exercises, adjusting activities to reinforce progress.
- Review written work, provide specific feedback, and track learning goals and areas for further practice.
- Your impact: learners gain practical French skills they can use with greater confidence in their studies and everyday communication.

Experience

Required:



Strong French skills, clear English communication, writing ability, and practical teaching or tutoring skills are essential for explaining concepts, guiding practice, and giving useful feedback. Preferred: Experience working with children and classroom experience are valuable, as are knowledge of Mandarin, Spanish, or Japanese and the ability to draw on additional language-learning perspectives. Related tutoring or teaching experience can help you adapt lessons to learners’ needs and encourage steady progress.

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
