At Kookees and Kisses Daycare, our days are full of laughter, curiosity and big hugs, and we're looking for cheerful Early Childhood Assistants to join us, in both full-time and part-time roles! You'll work side by side with our Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to maintain a high level of care for the children and support the daily program. You'll report to the Supervisor and learn from the RECE in your room. It's a wonderful fit if you're starting a career in early learning, or an early childhood education student who wants hands-on experience.

What your days will look like

· Caring and keeping everyone safe

· Keep a watchful, caring eye on children at all times, indoors and outdoors

· Give warm, responsive care and routines to your group, including feeding, diapering and toileting, rest and outdoor play.

· Making learning fun

· Set up and tidy our play spaces so materials stay clean, safe and inviting.

· Greet families with a smile at arrival and departure and pass on daily information as directed by the RECE.





· Experience working in a childcare setting

· Strong demonstrated ECE knowledge

· Knowledge of developing and implementing age-appropriate activities for children from infant to kindergarten age

· Teamwork Skills

· Communication skills, ability to express self well, confident

· Mentoring/Coaching – the ability to give feedback constructively

· Interpersonal skills – can interact with others in an encouraging way and can work in a team

· Organizational skills – very detailed, has methods to stay organized
