Albi Sushi + Kitchen is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Kitchen Helper who is eager to learn and grow with our team.

The successful candidate will participate in sushi preparation, cooking, and daily kitchen operations, while learning new techniques and developing practical culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food.
- Participate in sushi preparation, including preparing sushi rice, cutting ingredients, and assisting with sushi rolls and other sushi items.
- Assist with cooking, frying, and preparing various menu items under the direction of the chef.
- Assist with plating, packaging, and presenting food while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and food preparation areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Qualifications

- Previous kitchen, cooking,



or sushi preparation experience is an asset, but a willingness to learn is essential. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED.
- Strong desire to learn, develop culinary skills, and continuously improve.
- Interest in sushi, Japanese cuisine, and modern fusion cooking.
- Willingness to learn new recipes, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and apply it to improve performance.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation is an asset.

We welcome candidates who may not have extensive experience but have the right attitude, dedication, and willingness to learn.

Pay: $17.95-$25.72 per hour
