Who We Are:

Southwind Construction is a small general contractor located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We do work inside city limits, as well as in the surrounding areas. We do everything from small concrete jobs, such as sidewalks, small paths, etc. to framing, demolition, renovations, etc. We are a hard-working company, and we expect our employees to have an amazing work ethic as well. To us, this means showing up on time, being attentive throughout site meetings, tool-box talks, etc. This also means giving it your level best, and taking the time to do things correctly, even if that means that the job may take longer than expected.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of construction experience - Residential, Commercial or Industrial
- Valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation.
- **We do work outside of Winnipeg where there is no public transportation.**
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to operate small machinery, such as a quickie saw, jackhammer and skill saw.
- Experience with drywall, steel studs, installing windows and/or doors, and/or other elements of renovation and recent construction.
- Ability to life 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100lbs assisted.
- Punctual - Showing up to work on time, ready to work with a positive attitude.
- Professionalism - Southwind often has other trades, clients, or project managers on site. Being professional is an integral part of Southwind.
- Ability to communicate and take constructive advice.




- Problem Solving - Ability to solve small problems that may arise.
- Attention to Detail - It is the small things that set Southwind apart from the competition. Clients expect perfection, or at the very least, excellence, and we deliver.
- Willing to work in different climates, indoors, outdoors, small or confined spaces, etc.
- Safety compliance. Southwind does not tolerate or accept unsafe work practices.
