Part-Time Nanny / After-School Care
- Burnaby I'm looking for a reliable, caring, and engaging part-time nanny to provide after-school care for my 11-year-old son in Burnaby (Edmonds area). Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM (20 hours per week guaranteed). Some flexibility to stay later in the evening from time to time would be appreciated, with advance notice. Care would take place at our apartment, conveniently located near Edmonds SkyTrain Station. About my son: He's a bright, funny, and wonderful kid with a big personality. He also has fairly significant ADHD and has experienced some behavioural and emotional challenges over the past year. I'm looking for someone who is patient, understanding, confident, and able to provide a positive, structured, and supportive environment. Ideally, I'd love to find someone who can develop a genuine connection with him, engage him in fun and constructive activities, and encourage interests beyond video games and screen time

Responsibilities:
Be at the apartment by 3:00 PM to welcome my son home from school. Provide attentive supervision, companionship, and age-appropriate activities. Help maintain a positive after-school routine, including snacks, activities,



and downtime. Administer prescribed after-school medication as directed when I'm not available. Prepare simple snacks and occasional meals. Assist with light household tidying and cleaning as time permits. Occasionally help care for his 2-year-old younger brother, although the primary responsibility will be my older son. (2-year old primarily lives with mom down the street). Ideal candidate: Previous experience working with school-aged children is important, and experience supporting children with ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, or other behavioural needs would be a definite asset. Above all, I'm looking for someone who is dependable, kind, patient, and able to balance warmth and compassion with transparent, consistent boundaries.
