THIS POSITION WILL WORK WITH BOTH CLIENTELE AND THE PUBLIC IN OUR COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT OF THE SWIFT CURRENT COMMUNITY CHURCH. Attend a day of training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received. Community Ministries Worker Duties Assist with other programs in Community Services (ie: summer camps registration, Christmas hampers, POH, etc…) Suggest recent ideas for community programming Assist with collection, documentation, and submission of statistics as required by TSA, Foodbanks Canada, Second Harvest,



etc… Be available to assist during special events (Holiday Train, Food-drives, BBQ’s, Local PR events, etc…) Provide support as required to daily foodbank operations including receiving, sorting, handling of food donations Assist with proper receiving of food bank donations (weighing, reporting) as needed Assist with cleanliness and organization of food bank and free market area Internal: reports to Community Ministry Coordinator and/or Executive Director/Corps Officer Community Ministry Coordinator and/or Executive Director/Corps Officer. FINANCIAL AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT: Material: handling of foodbank donations Financial: refer community donations to main office for receiving/handling. SWIFT CURRENT COMMUNITY CHURCH BUILDING. OCCASSIONALLY AT PUBLIC EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE AREA POSSIBILITY OF EVENING/WEEKEND WORK Work in compliance with OH&S; Act and Regulations and abide by The Salvation Army’s health and safety policies and procedures. Ability to provide an original copy of a Background Check that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required, including Child Check (if appropriate). Training will be provided as required Ability to work with O365 software (Word, Excel, etc…) Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
