As a Float Laboratory Assistant, you will serve patients across Kakulu Road, Kanata, Ottawa, Arnprior, Carleton Place, Bayshore, Barrhaven, and Renfrew. This full time, 12-month contract includes guaranteed 35-hour weeks and day shifts Monday through Saturday. Your work supports Dynacare’s mission, values, quality standards, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Create best-in-class customer experiences for patients
- Manage anxious patients calmly during sample collection
- Sort and steer specimens according to established protocols
- Complete urine, drug,



and breath alcohol collections
- Prepare specimens and documentation for laboratory transportation

Requirements:

- Laboratory Assistant training program completion
- Medical Lab Assistance course with phlebotomy specialization
- Skill in phlebotomy and patient communication
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage deadlines
- MLPAO or CSMLS certification strongly recommended
