This full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant position supports clients with walking, transfers, stairs, positioning, and prescribed exercises. You will assist gross motor, fine motor, and balance activities while addressing physical, functional, and self-care needs. The position also includes safety assessments, documentation, incident reporting, and collaboration with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist gross motor, fine motor, and balance activities
- Support safe mobility using proper body mechanics
- Educate clients and families on assigned care needs




- Evaluate environmental and personal safety risks when required
- Report incidents, accidents, and critical events appropriately

Requirements:

- Ability to support prescribed exercise and mobility programs
- Ability to monitor and report client health changes
- Knowledge of applicable qualified practice standards
- Commitment to workplace health and safety policies
- Ability to follow Ontario law and VHA policies
