Strengthen workplace safety and compliance at Lumenus Community Services with practical advice, policy development, and incident analysis across Toronto locations.

Reporting to the Chief Corporate Services Officer, this Health and Safety Specialist provides organization-wide guidance on occupational health and safety. The work includes risk mitigation, workplace inspections, emergency preparedness, and corrective action planning. Collaboration with Joint Health and Safety Committees, operational leaders, employees, and external partners supports consistent practices across Lumenus programs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expertise on hazards, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions
- Lead Joint Health and Safety Committee support and follow-up
- Prepare leadership reports, briefings, tools, and recommendations




- Support emergency procedures, drills, training, and site readiness
- Coordinate infection prevention and control practices

Requirements:

- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards
- Experience with compliance, incident reporting, inspections, and risk mitigation
- Solid consultation, facilitation, communication, and project management skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening clearance
