As Principal Engineer in Parsons’ Highways and Freeways group, you will help grow the Transportation Engineering practice for the Ministry of Transportation Ontario. You will lead Highway Engineers and Design Specialists on low to high-complexity projects. Responsibilities include design management, stakeholder liaison, risk management, and integrated engineering solutions. The role covers rehabilitation, replacement, widening, and expansion of highways and freeways.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage MTO Highway Engineering delivery across Ontario
- Oversee multidisciplinary teams and coordinate project contributors




- Support Project Managers with plans, schedules, budgets, and risks
- Integrate active transportation plans and MTO standards
- Assist proposals, methodologies, work programs, schedules, and budgets

Requirements:

- 15+ years of MTO experience
- Professional Engineer license through Qualified Engineers Ontario
- Strong MTO standards, policies, and infrastructure knowledge
- Solid preliminary or detail design experience
- Leadership and communication skills for remote or hybrid teams
