Global News seeks a Digital Newsroom Supervisor in Toronto to guide online coverage, mentor journalists, and deliver timely stories onsite. Strong organization matters daily.

This full-time supervisor reports to the Managing Editor for Local Coverage and helps oversee a group producing online content. You will move responsibly through substantial story volume, champion digital priorities, and coordinate flexible workflows across platforms. The position also provides some work-from-home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

- Direct production and promotion of compelling online content
- Teach Global News digital journalism best practices
- Champion online coverage during meetings and daily operations
- Develop audience strategies for globalnews.ca and social media




- Coordinate multi-platform workflows with editorial leaders

Requirements:

- Minimum seven years’ experience in major-market journalism
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Editing experience in print or online journalism
- Robust interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
