Shape the future of Vancouver Island Crisis Society in Nanaimo through nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and community advocacy.

This full-time Executive Director leads a financially secure social profit organization serving Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, British Columbia, and Canada. You will work with the Board, more than 40 staff, volunteers, funders, governments, and crisis-sector partners. The mandate includes strengthening services, partnerships, resources, and organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Refine and implement the Society’s strategic plan
- Guide leadership, staff, volunteers, and Board governance
- Secure operational funding through grants and partnerships
- Oversee Community Education and program promotion
- Manage leases,



insurance, technology, and operational needs

Requirements:

- Leadership experience in social profit organizations preferred
- Experience managing organizational budgets and fiscal responsibilities
- Experience working with volunteer Boards and organizational change
- Degree in business administration or social sciences preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
