Heavy Duty Mechanic (full-time)
- Abbotsford Transdev Canada is now hiring Heavy Duty Mechanics for our Abbotsford, BC location Are you a Red Seal–certified mechanic who enjoys diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles? Join Transdev and play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $52.40 and the prospect to work alongside a skilled and supportive maintenance team. Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), safety inspections, and annual vehicle inspections. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fuel injection, suspension, brake, drivetrain, steering, and transmission systems. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire replacements, lubrication, and equipment servicing. Remove, overhaul, repair, and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision. Complete accurate work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records. Conduct road tests and move vehicles safely between work areas to verify repairs. Collaborate with team members to share technical knowledge and support fleet reliability. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Red Seal certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician, Truck and Transport Mechanic, or Automotive Service Technician. Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement. CVIP Inspection Certification, or the ability to obtain it. Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and maintenance management software.
