- Providehigh-qualitycare,ensuringtimelydiagnosis,treatmentanddischargetoalladmittedpatientsinthein-patientunits:
- 31GeneralMedicinebeds(mayincludesomeALCpatients)
- 19ComplexContinuingCarebeds
- 1hospicesuite
- Collaboratewithnurses,specialists,andalliedhealthcareprofessionalstodelivercomprehensivepatientcare
- Maintainaccurateandtimelypatientrecordsincompliancewithhospitalpoliciesandregulations
- ParticipateintheongoingprofessionaldevelopmentandtrainingofvisitingmedicalstudentsandresidentsoftheNorthernOntarioSchoolofMedicine(NOSM),McMaster,UniversityofOttawaetc.
- Oncallforadmittedpatientsduringyourrotation

Requirements/Qualifications:

- CurrentregistrationwithCollegeofPhysiciansandSurgeonsofOntario
- CurrentACLSandATLScertification
- Experiencedandcomfortableworkingaloneinaninpatientunitwithvariableacuityandupto50patients(mixofGeneralMedicineandCCC)
- Strongclinicalskillswiththeabilitytomanageavarietyofacutemedicalcases
- Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonalskills
- Commitmenttoprovidingcompassionateandpatient-centeredcare
- Adherencetohospitalpolicies,procedures,CodeofConduct,by-lawsandorganizationalvalues
