Walia Family residing on New Westminster, BC is looking to hire a home support worker to provide care to their elderly parent.

Job Title: Home support worker (NOC 44101)

Job type: Full time and Permanent

Salary: $24.50/ Hour for 30 hours a week

Minimum Education: High School

Positions Available: 1

Job Location: Private Home located in New Westminster, BC

Requirements:

- Completion of High School
- Minimum of 1-year full time paid work experience in similar positions
- Completion of a 6-month full-time classroom training in a related field is an asset
- Must have a versatile schedule and be available for early morning, day, early evening, and split shifts

Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily routine from bed to washroom, bathing, personal care, dressing and undressing




- Provide care and companionship to elderly
- Aid in regular exercise e.g. walk
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding
- Support in the administration of medications and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse
- Perform some routine housekeeping duties related to elderly such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds
- Complete other related duties as required
