About the Role
Our client, a reputable retail establishment, is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to support the store operations in Kimberley. This role is instrumental in assisting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management. Supervise and coach store associates to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction. Contribute to achieving store sales targets through effective sales strategies and customer engagement. Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular stock takes. Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to merchandising standards. Handle customer inquiries, complaints,



and returns in a professional and timely manner. Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during operating hours. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including loss prevention measures. Support the Store Manager in training and developing current and existing staff members. Act as the acting Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager. Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role. Strong customer service and sales skills. Excellent leadership and team-building abilities. Good understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required for the Kimberley store. High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business or retail management is a plus. Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems. Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
