Provide inpatient mental health nursing at Scarborough Health Network’s Birchmount Site as a permanent part time Registered Practical Nurse. Work days and nights. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will care for a diverse patient population across 3B and 3C. The position requires current psychiatric-mental health nursing experience, patient assessments, teaching, and therapeutic communication. You will work independently within Total Patient Care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities




Provide excellent care to diverse inpatient mental health patients Work on 3B and 3C according to departmental needs Complete patient assessments and patient teaching Promote mental health through therapeutic relationships Identify and report hazards using protective equipment

Requirements:
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification Two years of current psychiatric-mental health nursing experience Current CPI certification or completion within six months Knowledge of mental disorders and nursing interventions Bring psychiatric nursing expertise, therapeutic communication, and patient assessment skills to inpatient care at SHN’s Birchmount Site. #J-18808-Ljbffr
