Recent or Replacement: Replacement Site: Toronto General Hospital Nurse Manager Wage Range :$37.92 -$38.73 per hour (start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements) Shifts: Rotating Shifts, Days/Evenings/Nights/Weekends Permanent Full-Time We are looking for candidates with Registered Practical Nurse, operating room experience as well as, completion ofOperating Room (Perioperative) course. The Operating Room at TGH is comprised of 21 Operating Theatres as well as the Multi Purpose OR (MPOR) a Translational Research Image Guided OR (TRIGOR) and Organ Regenerative Laboratory (ORL) and encompasses a wide variety of surgical services including Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General Surgery, Gyne Oncology, Urology, Head and Neck and Plastics. Priority program includes Cardiovascular, Surgical Oncology and Transplantation. Minimally Invasive Surgery and Living Related Donor program.



Every Operating Room is equipped with a computer where nurses can retrieve web-based resources and document their perioperative nursing care. The majority of patients are adults requiring surgery on the inpatient or outpatient basis. Many of our patients are highly acute and have complex conditions ( transplant, cardiovascular and surgical oncology). Perioperative Nursing at Toronto General Hospital is recognized for its patient and family centered approach and for its excellence in providing continuity of care to our patients. In accordance with relevant legislation and the standards established by the College of Nurses of Ontario the principal responsibilities of the Registered Practical Nurse include: Implementing patient care plan that include performing and/or providing assistance that include a limited range of strategies and interventions, collaborating with other members of the multi-disciplinary health care team Attending seminars and workshops to facilitate personal and professional growth Performs the duties of the scrub nurse consistent with the
