Operate sports field equipment and maintain playable surfaces as a temporary full-time Sports Field Operator with the Town of Oakville. Support turf care, grooming, and secure daily use.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Sports Fields and IPM, you will receive daily direction from the Leadhand Sportsfields. The position includes organizing resources, operating vehicles and tools, adjusting maintenance schedules, and recording completed work. Your duties support baseball diamonds, soccer pitches, football fields, tournaments, and other playing surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organize supplies, labour, tools, and resources for assigned tasks
- Operate vehicles, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently
- Adjust fertilizing, aeration, overseeding, and topdressing schedules
- Maintain safe surfaces,



grooming equipment, benches, and backstops
- Record daily tasks and report to the Leadhand Sportsfields

Requirements:

- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent education and experience
- One to two years of turf-related sports field maintenance experience
- Ontario pesticide exterminator license and tractor operation ability
- Valid unrestricted Ontario Class DZ driver’s licence
- Availability for 40 hours and varying weather conditions
