This Prospect:

We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time Personal Support Worker (internally known as Support Service Attendant)/Health Care Aide position at 479 Carlton Street, St. Catharines.

Wage:

$23.11 per hour, with paid travel time and mileage. This wage is inclusive of the $3.00 per hour temporary wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.

Hours:

35 hours per week

Schedule:

Will be required to work multiple shifts (i.e. workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

- Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.

- Provide personal care.

- Assist with dressing and grooming.

- Assist with rising and retiring.

- Provide incontinence care upon training.

- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.

- Assist with range of motion exercises.





- Perform light housekeeping duties.

- Assist with lifts and transfers upon training.

- Perform duties professionally while respecting consumers' dignity and right to privacy and maintaining consumer and staff health and safety.

- Work multiple shifts, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:

- High school graduate or equivalent.

- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.

- Experience working with individuals with physical disabilities, older adults, or as an informal caregiver is considered an asset but is not required.

- Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Physical Demands Self-Analysis required upon hire.

- Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours.
