Serve UBC Bookstore customers as a Graduate Sales Clerk, using product knowledge, point-of-sale accuracy, and customer service at the Grad tent. Work occurs primarily at Grad event locations.

This temporary Sales Clerk position supports Grad operations for up to three weeks. You will help customers select merchandise, process orders, and promote bookstore offerings. The work requires diverse retail skills, careful transaction handling, and attention to merchandise presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist customers with product selection, inquiries, demonstrations, and suggestions
- Process payments, online orders, special orders, and requisitions accurately
- Create displays, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise orderliness




- Check inventory and advise buyers about out-of-stock products
- Support Grad operations, including regalia distribution when required

Requirements:

- High school graduation or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge and at least one year of related retail experience
- Ability to provide courteous, patient, accurate customer service
- Ability to operate point-of-sale terminals and computers efficiently
- Full availability November 23 through 27
