Teach Mechanics of Materials I in person at the University of Ottawa’s Main Campus, using strong course knowledge and English communication.

This Teaching Assistant supports CVG2140B during the 2027 Winter Semester. The Department of Civil Engineering seeks candidates with excellent background knowledge in the course and solid oral English skills. P.Eng. or EIT credentials will be prioritized, while bilingualism is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide contact with students for 60 hours
- Grade course work for 60 hours
- Proctor assessments for six hours
- Complete other assigned work for four hours
- Support a course enrolling approximately 150 students

Requirements:

- Excellent background knowledge in Mechanics of Materials I
- Excellent oral communication skills in English
- P.Eng. or EIT credentials will be prioritized
- Bilingualism would be an asset
- Availability from January 1 through April 30, 2027
