The IPAC Advisor manages, coordinates, and guides UHS’s Infection Prevention and Control program. Working with clinical leadership, departmental managers, and multidisciplinary teams, this full time position strengthens compliance, coordinates education, and supports outbreak management. The role translates audits, trends, inspections, and public health requirements into practical improvements for care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement the annual IPAC education plan
- Deliver orientation, refresher, huddle, resident, visitor, and volunteer training
- Analyse infection trends, audits, and inspection results




- Support the Outbreak Management Team and outbreak activities
- Liaise with Public Health officials and physicians

Requirements:

- Post-secondary health or related education
- IPAC Canada-endorsed course completion
- CBIC Infection Prevention and Control certification
- Experience with infectious diseases, microbiology, epidemiology, and program management
- Knowledge of Public Health and Ministry of Long-Term Care standards
