Plan resident activation programs at Extendicare’s Recent Orchard Lodge in Ottawa, using recreation programming and resident assessment skills. This is casual part-time work.

As a Casual Resident Program Aide, you will support individual and group programs for residents, including those with cognitive impairment. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on assessed needs and Supervisor direction. The position requires documentation, communication, and cooperation across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan individual and group activation programs
- Implement and evaluate programs based on assessed needs
- Transport residents and monitor their condition during activities
- Maintain program and resident records according to policy




- Communicate participation and changes to registered staff

Requirements:

- Approved Recreation and Leisure Services or Gerontology diploma or degree
- Written, verbal communication, and documentation skills
- Experience planning programs for well and cognitively impaired residents
- Knowledge of care planning and resident assessments
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
