We are currently a team of 5 full time equivalent dedicated special education consultants. Our mission is to better support school teams and their students. Scheduled office hours Summer holidays Winter holiday break The possibility of accumulating additional vacation days Statutory holidays Paid professional development opportunities Retirement pension The successful candidate will work with schools to assist them in the adaptation and development of appropriate pedagogical programs for their students with special needs. Providing support to teachers in the adaptation of programs for students with physical, social-emotional or learning difficulties; Training teachers in the use of approaches and strategies,



practices and pedagogical materials for students presenting with persistent difficulties; Helping schools to develop special projects; Representing the Board on local, regional and provincial committees, as requested; The Special Education Consultant will be a qualified teacher with a bachelor’s degree in education. Master’s degree in special education or in teaching and reading Experience with teaching in elementary, high school and/or adult sectors. This position will be mostly concentrated in High School and the Adult Sector.
