You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range ofchallenging projects with our mining team. In this role, you’ll be an underground miningprofessional with an interest in both business development and professionalpractice, and with established client relationships in the base and preciousmetals mining market. You’re a dynamic, creative and innovative mining engineercommitted to delivering high-quality consulting services to a growing client base. Provide mining engineering and design services for underground mine studies, such as scoping, prefeasibility, feasibility, detailed design and NI 43-101 technical reports Coordinate mining engineering projects with the mining team and other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, civil/structural and more Prepare and oversee preparation of mining engineering drawings Prepare mining equipment specifications and assist with mining equipment procurement Manage large, multidisciplinary projects (technical, people and/or commercial) Design mine infrastructures, ventilation systems, backfill systems and mining services Work with other BBA offices for project and task assignments Mentor mining engineering staff Help promote BBA’s underground mining and metals services,



internally and externally Help prepare proposals and assist with the business development process Preserve BBA’s qualified image by ensuring quality services to clients Help develop and implement standard underground work methods Plan, manage and control technical and commercial risks Ensure effective inter-team, inter-departmental and inter-office coordination Do your qualities and values match ourcorporate culture? Undergraduate or graduate degree in mining or geological engineering from a recognized university At least 20 years of underground mining experience in operations, engineering and/or project evaluation Proficient with underground mining design and planning software packages such as Deswik, Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac or Minesight Operational and engineering experience with underground mining, cut and fill, bulk mining (VRM), sub-level block caving and block caving Experience in mine equipment selection, capital cost and operating cost estimates Understanding of the various components required to make a mine a successful operation (processing, tailings, infrastructure) Passion and aptitude for mentoring,



training and sharing experiences with other engineers Technical and project management skills Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients in a professional and technical manner Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, for varying durations and, at times, to remote locations Group insurance plan from the first day of employment, including disability insurance and a telemedicine program Retirement savings plan Annual vacation and sick leave BBA considersmany factors when determining the annual base salary, including location, market,education, relevant and demonstrated work experience, technical assessment,qualifications, certifications and other relevant skills.
