Lead Science programming at Assumption College School with curriculum guidance, team-oriented leadership, and accountability for student achievement. This is a 1.0 FTE appointment.

The Department Head serves on the school leadership team and supports administration and department members. The position guides program implementation, curriculum design, and management. Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations and Ministry guidelines inform department work, alongside Board and School Improvement Plans.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate cooperation with departments for student program needs
- Facilitate communication between administration and department members
- Support appropriate delivery of Science programs
- Compile Ministry and Board curriculum requirements




- Lead professional development supporting school improvement planning

Requirements:

- Basic qualifications for Intermediate and Senior Science divisions
- Honour Specialist qualification in Science
- Minimum five years teaching in the secondary panel
- Understanding of current secondary education priorities
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative leadership skills
