Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Buyer procures, negotiates, and administers agreements for materials, services, capital projects, and maintenance contracts. The position requires purchasing experience, supplier analysis, purchasing systems knowledge, and understanding of business management and contract negotiation. Work follows corporate policies, purchasing procedures, standards, and applicable legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source supplies, services, and goods meeting internal expectations
- Negotiate and administer major purchasing agreements
- Review proposals and recommend supplier selections




- Communicate site needs to vendors and service providers
- Recommend purchasing procedure and policy improvements

Requirements:

- Minimum three-plus years purchasing experience in industrial manufacturing
- Recognized purchasing designation or certification, completed or pursued
- Experience with purchasing and inventory control systems
- Understanding of business management and contract negotiation
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated integrity
